September 8, 2017 Friday

            This morning is glorious and like yesterday is cool.  The ever present heat in my body wears on me and this cool weather helps me.  Bonnie and I had our devotion and the Hymn was written by Annie J. Flint who was orphaned at an early age and spent 30 years in a sanitarium bedridden because of arthritis.   She died September 8, 1932 and she was known as the “Poet of Helpfulness”.

He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,

He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;

To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,

To multiplied trials he multiplies peace.

 When we have exhausted our store of endurance,

When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,

When we reach the end of our hoarded resources

Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,

His power no boundary known unto men;

For out of His infinite riches in Jesus

He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

From a devotional book by Robert J. Morgan, Near to the Heart of God: Meditations on 366 Best-Loved Hymns (p. 256). Baker Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.

            Bonnie and I walked in the cool weather and it was good to get out.  Saw a small plane and said a prayer for Graham Swafford as he and his wife Sharon have blessed us in so many ways!

Jonathan came over for supper and a visit and it was a good time together.  God is so good to give us time to enjoy each other and to share His love together.
