            Feel a little better today and woke up early and read 2 Corinthians.  Am also reading the Qur’an again as it helps me understand the Islamic religion and Muslims in general.  This is my third time reading through the Qur’an.  I have read through the Bible almost every year since becoming a Christian about 38 years ago.  I am on my second time through this year.

            When I first became a Christian I had been told I only had three months to live so in addition to working, attending Bible Studies and sharing faith with others I read through the Bible in 30 days.  I used to tell people that if I was going to meet the Author soon I wanted to at least have read His book.  So many seem to find the Bible boring but to me it is 66 love letters from God.  When I was aboard ship in the Navy we had two pockets in our shirts.  Most carried their cigarettes in one pocket and the last letter from home in the other.  We would read and reread them until a new letter came.  These “love letters” remind me of the Bible and I want to read and reread them every day!
