Woke up early as Bonnie headed off
for the second day of preparation for Fall Festival. I am so proud of her for pitching in so well.
Sometimes she feels she doesn’t do much but as I look back so many times she
has not only been part of what was happening but even led or started things.
As I sit here one of the great
things is to look back and see all the amazing things I got to see God do at
congregations like Wells Springs, Cawood, Flat Hollow, Morrison Chapel,
Washington Chapel, Asbury, Church Hill First, McKendree and then First
Jefferson City. For over thirty years
God blessed us to serve with so many wonderful people in so many wonderful
places. There were some hard people and
hard times, but God used them to strengthen us and prepare us for the next
adventure. People may think this is bragging time but it is a time to remember
how God healed a 19 year old boy from a terminal disease and that each day and
each place was and is a gift of grace and love from the One I call My
Love! It also is a time to pray for each
one and the faces God brings to my heart and mind.
Was able to do a little bit today
and got some more cards ready to mail. I watched some baseball and football on
TV. Haven’t watch sports in awhile. Rebecca and Jonathan took supper to
Grandmommies and Bonnie and I watched a movie and had hamburgers. It was a good day.
