December 15, 2017 Friday Week 2 Day 6

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.” So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known what had been told them about this child; and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. Luke 2:15–20

When Jesus was born Heaven and Earth were connected in a way that we have never experienced before. We see this in the song that the angels sang to the Shepherds rejoicing that God has come into the world and that redemption has begun!

The shepherd's around Bethlehem were known for raising the sheep that would be a reminder of the Passover. They would raise the lamb for the sacrifices that would be the Lamb of God saving them from death passing over His people and of God saving them from Death itself.

One of the amazing pictures of Christmas is the shepherds who raised the lambs of sacrifice bowing before the Lamb of God who would sacrifice Himself for them.

In their Joy at seeing the Lamb of God they could not be stopped from joyously sharing the good news they had heard from Heaven itself.

What will you do this Christmas? Will you lose yourself in the gifts for yourself or will you share with others the Good News of the first gift of Christmas, the coming of their Savior the Lamb of God? What will you do with Christmas?

A little better today but I am still in pain.  After days of pain the weariness grows and my mind gets so weary and it is hard to think clearly.  I trust God will bring clarity of mind in the days ahead.
