6 God sent a man, John the Baptist, 7 to tell
about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. 8
John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the
light. 9 The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was
coming into the world. 10 He came into the very world he created, but
the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own people, and even
they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he
gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn— not with a
physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes
from God. 14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was
full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory
of the Father’s one and only Son. John
1:6-14 NLT
I remember when each of my three
children were born. Thankfully I lived
during times and place where I could be there and see the miracle of childbirth
and see my children coming into the world.
When my children were born as a father I felt incredible joy and
incredible fear!
These were my children! Not just because they were my biological
children, but because I chose to love them!
My biological father like many men today was not much more than a sperm
donor who do not reveal themselves to their children. My adoptive dad, Loran Ramsey, chose to love
me and make me his own son.
God created you and rejoiced to see
you and your life! God’s fear is that we
will in our selfishness we will destroy our relationship with Him! But as a true Father God provided a way
through His “only begotten” Son for us to becomes the children of God
through our adoption by confession, repentance and grace!
If you ever wonder if God truly loves
you remember that He gave His “only begotten” Son so you would
have the possibility of receiving adoption and the fullness of God’s love for
you!
As the New Year approaches I pray
you will discover the fullness of God’s love for you and His joy and hope for
you! May every day be Father’s Day as
you celebrate the love of your Heavenly Father!
