1   Praise the LORD!

Praise the LORD from the heavens!

            Praise him from the skies!

2   Praise him, all his angels!

Praise him, all the armies of heaven!

3   Praise him, sun and moon!

Praise him, all you twinkling stars!

4   Praise him, skies above!

Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!

5   Let every created thing give praise to the LORD,

for he issued his command, and they came into being.

6   He set them in place forever and ever.

His decree will never be revoked.   Psalm 148:1-6 NLT

Have you ever sat in a little congregation and wondered if you worship made a difference at all?  We look at the football, soccer and racing facilities and they seem to dwarf your congregation and maybe even the congregations around them.  Do we make a difference?

The verses above show us that our thinking of worship is not only limited but shallow!  For as we worship God we are not by ourselves but join with all of the Church, the Heavenly Host and all of creation to honor and glorify our God!

As you sit in the sanctuary think about all of those who have worshipped God there and all of those in Heaven who join in with you!  Since we worship a God unlimited by time realize we even join with those who to us are yet to become Christians!

You may think this is just fanciful thinking, especially the part about those yet to come but remember God is not limited by time and neither is the worship of Him!

In the book of Revelation John sees in Heaven the 24 elders worshipping before God’s throne.  The 24 elders are the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 disciples.  Si in truth John saw himself worshipping God before His throne before John was in heaven to worship!

Celebrate the wondrous love of God and join in all who lift their voices, their hearts and their hands to worship God!  Look up and realize that the angels of heaven sing with you!  Realize that no matter your voice God rejoices in hearing you love Him.

May you join in the worship of God and make God smile!
