When we are mobile life is a little more simple. We think and we do. We go to see people or places. Time goes by faster and faster filled with the busyness of our life. Family and friends fill our lives.
We grow from being held to taking steps with help
We grow from taking steps with help to walking
We grow from walking to running
We grow from running to pacing ourselves

But when we lose our mobility life changes and becomes more difficult. We learn how to do with limited abilities. We hope people will come to see us. Time drags filled more with memories than doing.
We grow from pacing ourselves to fearing a fall
We grow from walking to leaning on a cane
We grow from a cane to rolling with a rollator
We grow from rolling on a rollator to wheelchair
We grow from rolling to laying on a bed

Each of these steps are growth stages where God works in our lives. God is more concerned with souls than our bodies and will use our weakness and pain to grow us spiritually. But we have choices.
Will you grow from learning to walk
Will you grow from learning to run
Will you grow from learning pace
Will you grow from learning to lean
Will you grow from learning to roll
Will you grow from learning to lay down

With each time in our life we CAN learn and grow. Each time in our life we can learn to trust in God for each step taken and even for the steps we no longer can make. The choice is yours, will your look for God within each time in our life or will we keep our eyes on the storms in our life and sink into the our pain and loss. It may seem easier to look at the storms but in the length and times of our life God will bring meaning and strength to our life. We will grow even in the storm times!

The time is so long
the pain is so great
the words not there
the mind is so bare

My words are a jumble
my mind is a jumble
my hands they fumble
my feet they fumble

It has been a long time since I have written on this blog. I pray I will be able to get back to it.
