1 ¶ «A Song of Ascents.» Behold, bless the LORD, All you servants of the LORD, Who by night stand in the house of the LORD! 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, And bless the LORD. 3 The LORD who made heaven and earth Bless you from Zion!” (Psalm 134:1-3 NKJV)
The Psalms are songs and often include musical notation to be followed by musicians. Psalm 134 is “A Song of Ascents” which was used as people gathered to worship God and ascended to the Temple.
Imagine as the priests, musicians and singers began the Psalms of Ascent and people would gather becoming a stream slowly making their way to the Temple surrounded by the voices singing and music rising to the “House of God”.
These verses are both a guide to worship and as an expression of worship. They remind us we have a duty to bless the God who blesses us!

Your prayer
Give God thanks for what you have.
Praise God for who He is.
