Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.”” (Exodus 13:17 NKJV)
It seems in this passage God does not have ‘faith’ in the people since they were led on an easier way to the Holy Land. This is interesting since Israel would have a recurring problem with the Philistines. They were constantly at war with the Philistines and often controlled by them.
Having faith in someone is really impossible because God KNOWS all about us as individuals and as nations. God not only knows us but also knows what we need to become the people we are created to be.
The interesting thing is not that God knew this but this was revealed to us. God allows us to realize who we are and still guides to success rather than to failure.
