“For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined.” (Psalms 66:10 NKJV)

      There is a saying “I want patience, and give it to me now!” We act like there is an easy way to live out the Christian life. If you are bored being a Christian, guess what, you aren’t trying to live the Christian life.

    The psalmist states God has tested us. For many a test is something to show what you know but really it should be used to tell us what we need to learn. A Christian should continue to grow through the testing of life.

    We are refined. The process of refining is to start with an impure piece and heat it up until it is white hot and quickly cool it in water and beat it to get the dross (impurities) out of it. This is a continuing process until it is clean enough to use.

    God refines us as silver. With silver you not only want the dross out but you want it to come a beautiful shine and even a glow.
