3/6/2022 Russia has invaded Ukraine, supposedly for their own good. Now isn’t that nice. (sarcasm) Do the people of Ukraine have hope? Can they have hope? In the middle of bombing some citizens in Kiev gathered to worship God together. Many called this a most moving time of worship and prayer. One quote was the prayer requests had changed a lot since two weeks ago.
This is an entry from my Hope Journal which helps me hope, beyond hope.
Is their grace in Ukraine? In Russia? The answer is yes! Some Russian soldiers have left behind their equipment refusing to kill women and children who laid down before tanks to stop them. Some Russian soldiers have refused to use women and children as living shields for their tanks. Ukrainian people have sheltered wounded and retreating Russian soldiers. Ukrainian people have protected Russian people within their borders. No matter the evil the power of grace not only will continue but grow!!!
From my Grace Journal to remind me of our need not for agreement but grace in our relationships.
Please offer hope and grace to the people of Ukraine. You can give at so many places and some denominations like the United Methodist Church offer a way to give where all the money goes to those in need. All costs are absorbed by the giving of congregations and the help will be offered by congregations on site. But wherever or how much please give!
