3/7/2022 On February 27^th I shared a prayer that there would be no more screaming in the streets. That prayer came from a time I was reading in the Old Testament books of history as they calmly talked about how city after city was sacked and destroyed. For a moment I could almost see the people fleeing from soldiers who sought to kill, destroy, steal and rape. I could hear the screaming, wails and moans of a defeated and defiled people. I still hear those screams, wails and moans almost everyday. Do you care if Africans are killed and enslaved, mostly by muslims? Don’t black lives matter? Do you care as South Americans scream out in fear and pain? Do you hear the cries of some many in the orient cry out in pain and fear? Do you hear the weeping of women defiled and the wails of those whose loved ones have just disappeared? Do you hear the weeping of those abused, used and enslaved in our own streets? I do not pray I will not hear their cries for that would only harden my heart but I pray those around them will be open to help and wipe away their tears. If you do not weep for them I weep for you!!!

Please offer hope and grace to the people of Ukraine. You can give at so many places and some denominations like the United Methodist Church offer a way to give where all the money goes to those in need. All costs are absorbed by the giving of congregations and the help will be offered by congregations on site. But wherever or how much please give!
