“1 ¶ «A Song of Ascents.» “Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth,” Let Israel now say— 2 “Many a time they have afflicted me from my youth; Yet they have not prevailed against me. 3 The plowers plowed on my back; They made their furrows long.” 4 The LORD is righteous; He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked.” (Psalm 129:1-4 NKJV)
I have been afflicted from the beginning
The pain, suffering and shame weaken me
They plow deep scars in my body and soul
Jesus bore those scars and defeated them
Prayerful question: Do I pray believing the God who gave His life for me will not withhold any good thing from me?
“5 But he was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the LORD laid on him
the sins of us all.” (Isaiah 53:5-6 NLT)
